We are delighted to announce Jackson Hemingway as our overseas signing for the 2026 season at Astley & Tyldesley Cricket Club.
Jackson, 24, is an exciting batting all-rounder who bowls seam and joins us from New Zealand. Hailing from Christchurch, he currently plays his cricket with Sydenham Cricket Club in the Christchurch Metro Cricket Association, where he has built a strong reputation as a dependable top-order batter and a valuable seam option.
Speaking about the move, Jackson shared his enthusiasm for a northern hemisphere summer:
“I don’t want to wish the New Zealand summer away, but I’m so excited to join up in early April and get stuck in.”
We are equally excited to welcome him to the Gin Pit, and we are confident his all-round ability and positive attitude will make a real impact both on and off the field during the 2026 campaign.
We are also proud to confirm that Jackson will be sponsored by Trophy Room Atherton, a long-standing and much-valued supporter of the club. Paul from the Trophy Room spoke warmly about the connection:
“My late father played down at the Gin Pit and loved the environment there. I’m glad I can give back, and I have no doubt Jackson will fit in and have a great year.”
